This hike takes you through the scenic area of Senda de Pico de Acué. The trail covers a distance of 9.205 kilometers with an elevation gain of 744 meters, making it a difficult trek that will take around 4 hours to complete.
Along the route, you will come across several points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will find a parking area for your convenience. As you continue, around 1.8 kilometers from the start, you will reach the picturesque Col de la Mousquère, a natural saddle that offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
Further along the trail, at approximately 4.6 kilometers from the start, you will encounter multiple water sources, providing a refreshing stop for hikers. Additionally, at 4.1 kilometers, there is the PNPO information point, where you can learn more about the area's flora and fauna.
Midway through the hike, approximately 3.15 kilometers from the start, you will find the Cabane de la Caillabère shelter, offering a resting spot and shelter for weary hikers.
