This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning views and challenging terrain. The trail is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 6.109 kilometers and an elevation gain of 564 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 2 hours and 49 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will pass by the parking area of Estación de Esquí Astún, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on the trail. Around 0.53 kilometers into the hike, you will come across a cafe where you can stop for a quick break and refuel before continuing on.
Further along the trail, at around 2.31 kilometers from the start, you will reach Ibón de Escalar, a beautiful body of water that is perfect for a peaceful rest and enjoying the scenery. Approximately 2.85 kilometers into the hike, you will encounter another water source, providing a refreshing spot to rest and hydrate.
As you continue on, at 2.88 kilometers from the start, you will reach Col d'Audas, a scenic saddle along the trail that offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Near the end of the trail, at 3.05 kilometers from the start, you will find Nayeta, a peak that offers breathtaking views of the area. Nearby, you can also explore Collado de Nayeta, another saddle that provides a great vantage point for taking in the beauty of the surroundings.
Throughout the hike, make sure to bring plenty of water, as the trail can be challenging and you will need to stay hydrated. Additionally, it is recommended to check the weather forecast before setting out, as conditions can change quickly in mountainous terrain.
