This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning views and moderate difficulty. The trail is an out-and-back type, starting and ending at Refugio Pepe Garces.
As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area at Candanchú, about 2.99 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. Further ahead, at 2.66 kilometers from the start, you will find the Tobazo restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat.
Along the way, at 2.3 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the Monasterio y Hospital de Santa Cristina ruins, offering a glimpse into the area's historic past. Keep an eye out for drinking water at 2.46 kilometers from the start, and at 2.84 kilometers, you will find Fuente Usla for a refreshing break.
For those interested in a cultural stop, the trail passes by the cave entrance at 0.46 kilometers from the start. Additionally, at the beginning of the trail, there is an information point for tourists to learn more about the area.
