This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning views and varying terrain. The trail is an out-and-back type with a total distance of 5.971 kilometers and an elevation gain of 169 meters, making it a moderate difficulty hike.
Starting at the trailhead, you will come across a parking area at around 0.0 kilometers from the start. As you make your way along the path, at 0.46 kilometers, you will pass by a cave entrance that you can explore. Further along the trail at 2.3 kilometers, you will encounter the Monasterio y Hospital de Santa Cristina ruins, a historic site with a rich history.
Continuing onwards, at 2.66 kilometers, you will reach the Tobazo restaurant where you can stop for a meal or a quick break. Just a bit further at 2.82 kilometers, there is a bar for you to grab a refreshing drink. At 2.84 kilometers, you will find another bar and a drinking water fountain at Fuente Usla.
As you approach the 2.99 kilometers mark, you will reach the Refugio Pepe Garces alpine hut, which serves as the turnaround point for this hike. This is a great spot to rest and enjoy the surrounding nature before heading back.
