This challenging hiking route covers a distance of 7.088 kilometers with an elevation gain of 735 meters, taking approximately 3 hours and 28 minutes to complete. The trail starts at a parking area and follows a path that leads to various points of interest.

At the beginning of the hike, you will come across the Cromlechs de la Cabane de Chérue, an archaeological site located 2.48 kilometers from the starting point. This historical site offers insight into the region's past and is a great way to start your journey.

As you continue along the trail, you will encounter the Cabane de Chérue shelter at 2.49 kilometers in, providing a place to rest and take in the surrounding scenery. Further along, at 2.96 kilometers, you will find the Petite Mare du Nord, a scenic water feature perfect for a brief stop to enjoy the tranquil surroundings.

Midway through the hike, at 3.32 kilometers, you will reach both the Mare Rouge and the Mare Verte, two beautiful water spots that offer a refreshing break before continuing on. Finally, at 3.54 kilometers, you will arrive at the Grande Mare Ouest, the destination of this out-and-back route.
