This hiking route is an extremely difficult 15.266-kilometer out-and-back trail that will take you approximately 6 hours and 12 minutes to complete. The trail is located in a beautiful area with diverse flora and fauna, offering stunning views along the way.
As you start your hike, you will come across several parking areas that are conveniently located at the beginning of the trail. These parking spots will make it easy for you to access the trailhead without any hassle.
As you make your way along the trail, you will reach Cruz Loma, a peak located 4.18 kilometers from the start. This peak offers spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and is a great spot to take a break and soak in the scenery.
Around the 4.41-kilometer mark, you will find the Mirador Norte viewpoint, where you can enjoy another vantage point of the area. Nearby, there is also a restaurant where you can refuel and rest before continuing on your journey.
Further along the trail, at approximately 7.63 kilometers from the start, you will come across another viewpoint known simply as "mirador". This is another great spot to pause and appreciate the natural beauty around you.
Before reaching the turnaround point at the destination "mirador", you will pass by some attractions such as Llamas and the Columpio 4000 m viewpoint, each offering unique experiences that add to the adventure of your hike.
This challenging hike involves significant elevation gain and covers a long distance, so be sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear. It's also recommended to check the weather forecast before embarking on the journey to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
