Welcome to the Sendero Arco Antíguo hiking route near Quito! This challenging out-and-back trail spans a distance of 7.461 kilometers with an elevation gain of 617 meters, taking an estimated duration of 3 hours and 16 minutes to complete.
As you embark on this adventure, you'll start at the trailhead with convenient parking available nearby. The first point of interest you'll encounter about 1.61 kilometers into the hike is a beautiful viewpoint offering stunning panoramic vistas of the surrounding landscape.
Around 1.92 kilometers into the hike, you'll come across the breathtaking La Chorrera waterfall. Take a moment to admire the cascading waters and refuel before continuing on.
Midway through the hike at approximately 3.5 kilometers, you'll find the Cabaña San Francisco de Cruz Loma wilderness hut. This can be a great spot to rest and enjoy the tranquility of nature.
Further along the trail at 3.73 kilometers, there's another viewpoint waiting to provide you with more scenic overlooks of the area.
