This hiking route to Monte Corvo is an extremely difficult 21.048-kilometer out-and-back trail with an elevation gain of 1702 meters. The total duration of the hike is estimated to be around 9 hours and 7 minutes, so be prepared for a challenging adventure.
Starting at the parking area, you will begin your journey towards Rifugio del Monte, an alpine hut located approximately 4.28 kilometers from the trailhead. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy the surrounding views before continuing towards Monte Corvo, a peak that stands at 10.52 kilometers from the starting point. The trail also passes by Sella di Monte Corvo, a saddle located at 9.44 kilometers from the start.
As you make your way along the trail, you will come across Colle Abetone, another peak that is 2.41 kilometers away from the starting point. While it's not directly on the trail, it offers a stunning view worth the detour. Along the route, you will also find Fonte del Venaquaro, a drinking water source located at 8.76 kilometers from the start, and an informational point at 6.75 kilometers from the trailhead.
