This extremely difficult 21.048-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will take you to Monte Corvo, a peak located in a picturesque area surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. The trail starts at a parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on this challenging journey.
As you make your way along the trail, you'll come across the Rifugio del Monte, an alpine hut located approximately 4.28 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to take a rest and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
Further along the route, at around 10.52 kilometers from the beginning, you'll reach the peak of Monte Corvo itself. The panoramic views from the summit are truly worth the effort it took to get there.
On the way back, you can stop at the Sella di Monte Corvo, a saddle point located at a distance of 9.44 kilometers from the start. This is a good place to take in the beauty of the surrounding landscape before continuing your descent.
Throughout the hike, you'll also find drinking water sources such as the Fonte del Venaquaro, located approximately 8.76 kilometers from the start, and another water source at around 4.28 kilometers from the beginning.
