This hiking route will take you through a picturesque area with stunning views and challenging terrain. The trail is 8.57 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 607 meters, so be prepared for a difficult but rewarding trek.
Starting at the parking area, you will embark on your journey towards Rifugio del Monte. Along the way, you will pass by a drinking water source, located about midway through the hike, so be sure to refill your water bottles to stay hydrated.
As you continue on, you will come across Colle Abetone, a peak that is slightly off the trail but worth the detour for the breathtaking views it offers. This landmark is located approximately 2.41 kilometers from the start of the hike.
After a challenging ascent, you will finally reach Rifugio del Monte, an alpine hut where you can rest and take in the stunning scenery before making your way back. The hut is located at the end of the trail, approximately 4.29 kilometers from the starting point.
