This hiking route takes you to the beautiful area of La Cuta, where you will embark on a challenging 7-kilometer out-and-back trail with an elevation gain of 948 meters. The total duration of the hike is approximately 3 hours and 59 minutes.
As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area at the beginning of the trail, followed by a bar where you can grab some sustenance before heading further into the hike. Approximately 1.63 kilometers from the start, you will reach Refugio de Calzilarruego, a shelter where you can take a break and rest.
Midway through the hike, at around 3.5 kilometers from the start, you will encounter La Cuta, a prominent peak offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Make sure to take some time to admire the scenery before continuing on the trail.
Further along the route, at 2.81 kilometers from the start, you will find Punta Diazas, another peak that is slightly off the trail. You can choose to explore this area for more panoramic views.
As you make your way back, you will pass by Mirador de Calcilarruego, a viewpoint that offers a different perspective of the terrain. Additionally, there are benches and information points scattered along the trail, offering opportunities for rest and learning about the area.
