Welcome to the hiking route to La Cuta! This challenging 7-kilometer out-and-back trail offers stunning views and a variety of points of interest along the way.
Starting at the trailhead, you'll first come across a parking area, perfect for leaving your vehicle before embarking on the hike. As you begin your journey, you'll pass by a cozy bar where you can grab a refreshing drink or snack to fuel your adventure ahead.
About 1.63 kilometers into the hike, you'll reach Refugio de Calzilarruego, a shelter where you can take a break and enjoy some rest. Continuing on, at the 3.5-kilometer mark, you'll encounter the peak known as La Cuta, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Along the trail, you'll also find Mirador de Calcilarruego, a scenic viewpoint where you can pause to admire the picturesque scenery. Additionally, there are benches scattered throughout the route, providing opportunities to sit and relax while taking in the natural beauty.
As you make your way back, be sure to stop at the informational points for some insights into the area's history and geography. Keep in mind that the trail is rated as difficult, with a total elevation gain of 948 meters, so come prepared with proper hiking gear, plenty of water, and a positive attitude.
