This extremely difficult 12.358-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will take you through rugged terrain and offer stunning views in the Calvario area.
Starting at the parking area, you will embark on a challenging journey that includes a total elevation gain of 534 meters. Along the way, you will encounter various points of interest:
- About 1 kilometer into the hike, you will come across the Refugio Fuente Molina wilderness hut, providing a picturesque resting spot.
- Continuing on, at around 3.68 kilometers from the start, you will discover historic ruins, followed by more ruins at 3.74 kilometers.
- As you progress, you will reach the peaks of Peña del Acivillo at 2.16 kilometers and Calvario at 6.18 kilometers, offering panoramic views of the surroundings.
- At 3.7 kilometers into the hike, you will find the Cabezo Valverde peak, followed by the Collado Valdeolivo saddle at 1.67 kilometers.
- Additionally, you will find the Fuente Molina spring at 0.96 kilometers and a picnic site at the same distance, providing opportunities to replenish your energy and enjoy a break.
