Hiking : Peña del Acivillo

This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning views and varied terrain. The trail is an out-and-back type, with the destination being the peak of Peña del Acivillo.

Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by a parking area, perfect for leaving your vehicle before starting your hike. As you make your way along the trail, approximately 1 kilometer from the start, you will come across Refugio Fuente Molina, a wilderness hut where you can take a rest and enjoy the surroundings.

Continuing on, at around 1.67 kilometers from the beginning, you will reach Collado Valdeolivo, a saddle point along the trail. This is a great spot to take in the views and maybe have a snack before pushing on towards the peak.

About midway through the hike, at approximately 2.14 kilometers from the start, you will arrive at the highlight of the trek, Peña del Acivillo, a prominent peak offering breathtaking panoramic views of the area. Take your time to soak in the scenery before beginning your way back.

On the return journey, you will pass by Fuente Molina, a spring where you can fill up your water bottles, and a picnic site where you can stop for a meal or a break. Make sure to stay hydrated and pack enough water for the hike, as well as checking the weather forecast before setting out.

With a total distance of 4.284 kilometers and an elevation gain of 365 meters, this moderate difficulty hike is suitable for hikers with some experience. Enjoy the adventure and make sure to take care of the natural environment by leaving no trace behind.
