This hiking route takes you through the beautiful wilderness of Cabezo Valverde, offering stunning natural landscapes and historic sites along the way. The route is an out-and-back trail with a total distance of 7.418 kilometers and an elevation gain of 329 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike.
You will start your journey at the parking area, located at the beginning of the trail. As you make your way along the trail, you will come across the Fuente Molina spring, situated at around 0.96 kilometers from the start, where you can take a break and replenish your water supply.
Continuing onwards, at approximately 1.0 kilometer from the start, you will reach the Refugio Fuente Molina wilderness hut, providing a cozy resting spot for hikers. Around 2.16 kilometers into the hike, you will pass by the Peña del Acivillo peak, offering panoramic views of the surrounding area.
Further along the trail, at 3.68 kilometers from the start, you will encounter ruins, adding a touch of history to your hike. As you approach the 3.71-kilometer mark, you will find more ruins, enriching the cultural experience of your adventure.
At 3.71 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Cabezo Valverde peak, the final destination of your hike, offering breathtaking views as a reward for your efforts. Remember to take your time to enjoy the scenery before making your way back.
