This hiking route takes you through the beautiful Campo di Grano area, offering stunning views and challenging terrain. The total distance of the hike is 18.878 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1202 meters, making it an extremely difficult trail that will test your endurance and stamina.
As you start your journey, you will come across a drinking water point at Tricaglio, located 1.26 kilometers from the trailhead. It's advised to fill up your water bottles here before continuing on. Further along the trail, at 2.27 kilometers in, you'll find Rifugio Fonte Astuni, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy the scenic surroundings.
At the 4.74-kilometer mark, you'll reach Rifugio Collo dell'Orso, another alpine hut offering accommodation facilities. This is a good spot to rest and refuel before tackling the rest of the trail. As you continue on, you'll pass by Monte Cornacchia, a peak located 7.59 kilometers from the start.
Further along the route, at 9.44 kilometers in, you'll reach Campo di Grano, another alpine hut where you can take a break and relax. Along the way, you'll also find drinking water points and scenic viewpoints to enjoy.
