This extremely difficult 16.674 km out-and-back hiking route takes you to the stunning Monte della Strega area. The trail has an elevation gain of 723.0 meters and is estimated to take around 5 hours and 40 minutes to complete.
Starting at the parking area, you will begin your hike towards Monte della Strega. Along the way, you will pass by a campsite located 0.33 km from the start where you can rest if needed. As you continue, you will reach Rifugio di Monte Tranquillo, an alpine hut located 5.99 km from the beginning of the trail, offering a picturesque spot to take in the surrounding views.
Further ahead, at approximately 7.54 km into the hike, you will encounter Monte Pietroso, a peak that is worth a visit for its breathtaking vistas. The challenging terrain will lead you to Monte della Strega, another peak located 8.34 km from the start, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the area.
Additionally, at 6.31 km into the hike, you will come across a saddle providing a perfect spot to take a break and admire the landscape. Keep in mind to bring plenty of water, snacks, and to check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging adventure.
