This challenging hiking route will take you to the Sandkopf peak, located in a beautiful area with stunning views. The trail is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 11.392 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1074 meters. It is estimated to take around 5 hours and 19 minutes to complete.

As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area, situated right at the beginning of the trail. Make sure to park your vehicle here before setting off. Along the way, about 1.38 kilometers into the hike, you will encounter a historic wayside cross, adding a cultural element to your outdoor experience.

Continuing on, at the 0.44 kilometer mark, you will find a wayside shrine, providing a glimpse into the area's history. Finally, at 5.7 kilometers from the starting point, you will reach the Sandkopf peak, where you can marvel at the panoramic views surrounding you.
