This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route takes you to the beautiful Fillinglacke area, offering breathtaking views and challenging terrain. The trail spans a distance of 13.937 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1426 meters, making it a demanding trek suitable for experienced hikers.
As you start your journey, you will come across several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find the Gasthof Bärenwirt restaurant, where you can stop for a meal or refreshments before continuing your hike. Nearby, there is also the Bärenwirt parking area for convenient access to the trailhead.
Further along the trail, approximately 2.08 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the spring known as "beim kalten Wasser," providing a refreshing spot to rest and hydrate. As you continue, at around 5.63 kilometers into the hike, you will find a drinking water source for refilling your bottles.
Midway through the route, you will reach the Fillinglacke where you can enjoy the serene surroundings and picturesque views. The Fillinglacke is located at approximately 6.97 kilometers from the trailhead, offering a perfect spot for a break before heading back.
On the way back, you can explore additional points of interest, such as the Bluntau Wasserfall waterfall and the Bluntautal Wasserfall viewpoint, adding even more excitement to your hiking adventure.
