This challenging hiking route takes you through the beautiful alpine region of Brettgabel. The trail is a circular route with a total distance of 9.301 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1054 meters, making it a difficult hike that is recommended for experienced hikers.
As you begin your journey, you will pass by the Hinterbrand parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before hitting the trail. Along the way, you will encounter various points of interest such as the Carl-von-Stahl-Haus alpine hut, situated 4.45 kilometers from the start of the trail. Further along the trail, at the 2.54-kilometer mark, you will come across the Mitterkaseralm restaurant offering sustenance for hungry hikers. As you continue your ascent, you will reach the peak at 4.53 kilometers, providing a rewarding panoramic view of the surrounding landscapes.
