This hiking route takes you through the picturesque area surrounding the Carl-von-Stahl-Haus. The trail is circular and covers a distance of approximately 9.2 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1054 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take around 4 hours and 45 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Hinterbrand parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on the trail. Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest, such as the Mitterkaseralm restaurant, which is a great spot to refuel and take in the stunning views.
Midway through the hike, you will reach the Carl-von-Stahl-Haus, an alpine hut that provides accommodation for weary hikers. Here you can rest, enjoy some local cuisine, and take in the beautiful surroundings.
Further along the trail, you'll come across the Schneibsteinhaus restaurant, another great place to stop for a meal and take a break. As you make your way back, you may also see the K IV 70 boundary stone and the wayside cross, adding a touch of history to your hike.
