This hiking route takes you through the beautiful landscapes of the Dolomites, starting from the parking area. The trail is 3.589 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 274 meters, making it a moderate difficulty level hike.
As you start your journey, you will pass by the Rifugio Cinque Torri, a cozy alpine hut just 0.03 kilometers from the trailhead. Further along the path, at around 0.62 kilometers, you will come across the Rifugio Scoiattoli, another alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy the stunning views.
Continuing on, at approximately 0.92 kilometers, you will find an information point providing insights about the surrounding area. As you reach the 1.78-kilometer mark, you'll encounter the Forcella Nuvolau, a beautiful saddle where you can take in panoramic views of the region.
At the 0.21-kilometer mark, although slightly off the trail, you will see the Torre Grande, a majestic peak worth exploring if you have the time. Along the way, there are several informational points, a drinking water source at 0.27 kilometers, and a spring at 0.02 kilometers.
The endpoint of this out-and-back route is the Rifugio Averau, located at 1.79 kilometers from the start. Here, you can relax, refuel, and bask in the breathtaking surroundings before making your way back.
