This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you to the beautiful Le Mandriole area. The trail spans a distance of 14.3 kilometers with an elevation gain of 809 meters, so make sure to be prepared for a challenging adventure.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Fonte d'Ancarano spring, located just 3.33 kilometers from the trailhead. It's a perfect spot to replenish your water supply before continuing on. Further along the trail, at 7.15 kilometers, you will reach the peak known as Le Mandriole, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area.
While hiking, you will also encounter historic sites such as the Rocca Capo del Colle castle at 3.84 kilometers and the city walls scattered throughout the route. These landmarks add a cultural element to your outdoor experience.
For additional points of interest, there are several springs and a saddle named Forca di Ancarano along the trail. Make sure to take in the natural beauty and history surrounding these locations as you hike.
