Welcome to the Gangsteig hiking route! This circular route covers a distance of 3.72 kilometers with an elevation gain of 450 meters, making it of moderate difficulty. The estimated duration for this hike is approximately 1 hour and 59 minutes.

Starting at the parking area, you will come across the Simonydenkmal memorial just 0.12 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. As you continue, at around 1.07 kilometers into the hike, you will find a natural spring to replenish your water supply.

The route also offers picturesque viewpoints and beautiful waterfalls along the way. Around 1.13 kilometers into the hike, you'll reach a stunning viewpoint, followed by a waterfall at 1.1 kilometers. Further along the trail, at 1.85 kilometers, you will encounter another captivating waterfall.

Hikers will also come across some historical landmarks, including the Kreuz wayside cross at 0.12 kilometers. Additionally, there are facilities such as picnic sites and information points at the beginning of the trail, providing a convenient start and end point for your adventure.
