Welcome to the Gangsteig hiking route! This moderate 3.72-kilometer circular trail offers stunning views and a variety of points of interest along the way.

Starting at the parking area near the Gangsteig, you can admire the Simonydenkmal memorial just 0.12 kilometers into the hike. As you continue, you'll reach a beautiful viewpoint 1.13 kilometers from the start, offering a perfect spot to rest and take in the scenery.

Around the 1.1-kilometer mark, you'll encounter a picturesque waterfall, adding to the natural beauty of the surroundings. Further along the trail, at 1.85 kilometers, you'll come across another waterfall, enhancing the serenity of the hike.

As you reach the 1.64-kilometer point, you'll find a viewpoint that offers breathtaking panoramic views, making it a great photo opportunity. Keep an eye out for the Waldbachstrub waterfall around 1.68 kilometers into the hike, adding a touch of tranquility to the experience.

For a moment of reflection, you'll find a wayside cross at 0.12 kilometers and a picnic site at the start, perfect for a snack break. Make sure to visit the information point about Dachstein, located at the beginning of the trail.
