Welcome to the Krippenstein hiking route!
The Krippenstein area offers stunning alpine landscapes and challenging terrains for hikers. This route is an out-and-back trail with a total distance of 14.616 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1760 meters, making it an extremely difficult hike that will test your endurance and skills.
As you embark on this adventure, you will encounter several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find "Parkplatz P3", a paid parking area to leave your vehicle. Further along, approximately 1.82 kilometers into the hike, you will come across the "Seewand Klettersteig", a via ferrata for climbing enthusiasts.
Midway through the hike, around the 4.52-kilometer mark, you will reach the "Gjaidalm" alpine hut, where you can take a break, enjoy some refreshments, and soak in the beautiful mountain views. Additionally, at 6.86 kilometers into the hike, there is a viewpoint called "Lodge" where you can capture breathtaking panoramic photos of the surroundings.
As you continue on the trail, you will encounter various information points, viewpoints, climbing areas, and restaurants scattered along the route. These offer opportunities to learn more about the area, relax, and refuel before heading back.
