This extremely difficult 16.346-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will lead you to the breathtaking Niyugan Falls. The trail starts at DENR Ternate Parking, where you can fuel up at Kainan sa D.E.N.R. restaurant before embarking on your journey. As you make your way along the trail, you will come across various points of interest such as Walk of Fame Campsite and Palay-palay Volcano, both located around 3.65 kilometers from the start.
Around 0.02 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the DENR Registration point for any necessary paperwork. Further along the trail, at approximately 2.29 kilometers from the start, you'll find Ligaw Node and a Clearing, offering some respite and information about the surroundings.
As you continue, Alibangbang Park awaits you at the 3.5-kilometer mark, providing a serene picnic spot. The Batangas - Cavite Boundary is located at 3.55 kilometers from the start, marking a significant point on the trail.
At the midway point, around 8.1 kilometers from the start, you'll reach Alon-Alon Campsite, offering a place to rest before heading back. Anino Campsite is also available at 5.78 kilometers from the start for those looking for an alternative camping spot.
Towards the end of the trail, at 8.17 kilometers from the start, Niyugan Falls cascades beautifully, making it a rewarding sight for all your efforts. Pico De Loro Vantage Point, located at 7.66 kilometers from the start, offers stunning views of the surroundings.
With an elevation gain of 865.0 meters, this hike is challenging and is recommended for experienced hikers. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and essential hiking gear.
