This extremely difficult 12.164-kilometer out-and-back hiking route takes you through the stunning Passage d'Orteig area. The trail begins at the parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on this challenging adventure.
As you make your way along the trail, you will encounter several points of interest. About 5.94 kilometers from the start, you will find the beautiful Lacs d'Arrémoulit, a perfect spot to take in the natural beauty of the area. Further along, at 4.84 kilometers from the start, you will come across Lac d'Arrious, another picturesque water feature to admire.
For those in need of a rest or shelter, the Refuge d'Arrémoulit is located approximately 5.81 kilometers from the start of the trail. This alpine hut provides a place to relax and refuel before continuing on your journey.
As you reach the midway point of the hike, Quèbe d'Arrious, a shelter facility, is situated 2.38 kilometers from the start. This is a great place to take a break and enjoy the scenery before heading back.
Throughout the hike, you will also encounter various water sources, such as Laquets d'Arrémoulit and other unnamed water bodies, offering a refreshing break along the way. Additionally, make sure to visit Col d'Arrious, a saddle point located 4.47 kilometers from the start, and Pic du lac d'Arrious, a peak worth exploring 5.14 kilometers from the beginning of the trail.
