The Louesque hiking route is a challenging 9.134-kilometer out-and-back trail with an elevation gain of 935 meters, making it suitable for experienced hikers. The route will take you through a picturesque area with stunning natural features and historical points of interest.

Starting at the P4 Parking Anglas, you will embark on your journey into the wilderness. Along the way, you will come across the beautiful Lac de Louesque, situated 4.13 kilometers from the trailhead. This serene lake offers a perfect spot to rest and take in the surrounding scenery.

As you continue on, you will encounter the ruins of historic structures such as Cabane de la Coste de Goua, which is 1.92 kilometers from the start, and other ancient ruins scattered throughout the trail.

One of the highlights of the hike is the Cascade de Louesque, a breathtaking waterfall located 3.82 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. This natural wonder is a great place to take photos and enjoy a peaceful moment in nature.

Throughout the hike, you will also find various water sources, benches for resting, and picnic sites for a well-deserved break. Make sure to bring an ample water supply, snacks, and proper hiking gear as the trail is challenging and can be strenuous.
