Located in a rugged wilderness area, this extremely difficult 17.5-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will take you on a challenging adventure with an elevation gain of 1138 meters.
Starting at the trailhead, you'll come across a wilderness hut called Refugio Resuali around 5.5 kilometers into the hike. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy the surrounding nature. Continuing on, at the beginning of the trail, you'll find Chongastán, a wheelchair-accessible restaurant where you can refuel with some delicious food.
Further along the trail, at around 2.5 kilometers, you'll reach the Mirador Peña del Sol, a viewpoint offering stunning panoramic views of the area. As you push forward, at 3.2 kilometers, you'll come across Fuen dels Escanarells, a natural spring where you can replenish your water supply.
The highlight of the hike is reaching the Punta del Regal de la Neu peak at 8.7 kilometers. This challenging ascent rewards hikers with breathtaking views from the top. Along the way, you'll also pass by other peaks like Punta las Cometas and several other viewpoints offering a glimpse of the stunning landscape.
