You are about to embark on a challenging hiking adventure in the Refugio de Clot de Chil area, following the Circular route Camino PR HU 36. This route covers a distance of 7.93 kilometers and includes an elevation gain of 1099 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 4 hours and 35 minutes to complete.
As you begin your journey, you will come across the parking area at La Espiganosa, where you can leave your vehicle before starting the hike. From there, you will make your way through the picturesque landscape, with La Baseta water body located 3.37 kilometers away from the start of the trail. This is a great spot to rest and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.
Further along the trail, at a distance of 0.26 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the stunning Cascada de la Espigantosa waterfall, offering a refreshing stop during your hike. As you continue, you will pass by the Collado de la Comalaqueba saddle at 2.28 kilometers, providing a beautiful viewpoint of the surrounding area.
Midway through the hike, at 3.37 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peaks of the area, including a saddle and another peak offering breathtaking panoramic views. Additionally, you will come across the Fundición del Freixenal monument at a distance of 0.03 kilometers, as well as the Gruta fundición cave entrance and historic ruins further along the trail.
