This hiking route takes you through the stunning area of Pala del Siso. The trail is 5.574 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 809 meters, making it a difficult hike that will challenge even experienced hikers.
Starting at the Parking de La Espiganosa, you will begin your journey through the picturesque surroundings. At just 0.26 kilometers from the start, you will come across the majestic Cascada de la Espigantosa, a beautiful waterfall, although not directly on the trail.
As you continue on, at 1.7 kilometers from the start, you will encounter a refreshing spring where you can replenish your water supply. The trail will then lead you to several peaks, including one at 2.5 kilometers, another at 2.6 kilometers, and a third at 2.79 kilometers from the start. These peaks offer breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding area and are perfect spots to take a break and soak in the scenery.
Along the way, you may also come across some points of interest that are slightly off the trail, such as the Fundición del Freixenal monument at 0.03 kilometers from the start, the Gruta fundicion cave entrance at 0.18 kilometers, and some historic ruins at various distances.
At 2.41 and 2.5 kilometers from the start, you will reach saddles that provide a unique vantage point of the landscape. Finally, the trail is an out-and-back type, meaning you will retrace your steps back to the starting point.
