Welcome to the hiking route to Pala de la Fuen! This trail offers a challenging yet rewarding trek through the beautiful natural landscape. With a distance of 5.147 kilometers and an elevation gain of 809 meters, hikers can expect a moderately difficult hike that will take approximately 3 hours and 12 minutes to complete.
The trail starts at the Parking de La Espiganosa, where you can conveniently park your vehicle before beginning your adventure. As you make your way along the trail, you will come across several points of interest. About 0.26 kilometers from the start, you will find the stunning Cascada de la Espigantosa, a picturesque waterfall that is worth a visit.
Continuing on, at around 1.7 kilometers into the hike, you will encounter a refreshing spring that provides a nice rest stop. As you approach the 2.5 kilometer mark, you will reach the first peak of the journey, offering panoramic views of the surrounding area.
Further along the trail, at 2.57 kilometers, you will find another peak to explore before reaching the Fundición del Freixenal monument, located just 0.03 kilometers off the trail. Additionally, at 0.18 kilometers off the trail, you can explore the Gruta Fundición cave entrance.
As you reach the midway point of the hike, around 2.5 kilometers in, you will come across a saddle that provides a great vantage point to take in the scenery. Nearby, at 2.41 kilometers, you will find another saddle to explore.
Throughout the hike, be sure to stay hydrated and pack plenty of water and snacks. It is also recommended to check the weather forecast before embarking on the journey.
