This hiking route in the Pleta des Ibons area is an extremely difficult 16.341-kilometer out-and-back trail with an elevation gain of 1217 meters, making it a challenging trek for experienced hikers.
The trail starts at Parking de La Espiganosa, where you can leave your vehicle and begin your journey. As you make your way along the route, you will come across several points of interest:
- At the beginning of the trail, you will find the Cascada de la Espigantosa, a picturesque waterfall just 0.34 kilometers from the start.
- About 1.58 kilometers into the hike, you'll reach Indicación Angel Orus and Collado Comalaqueba; Clot de Chil, where you can learn more about the area.
- Midway through the trail, at a distance of 3.19 kilometers from the start, you'll find Refugio Ángel Orús, an alpine hut where you can take a break and rest.
- Along the way, you'll also encounter several water points, shelters like Cabaña de Llardana and Cabana d'es Riberetes, as well as springs like Fuen Royes to replenish your water supply.
The route will also take you past peaks like the one 6.3 kilometers from the start, offering stunning views of the surrounding natural beauty.
It's important to note that some points of interest are not directly on the trail, so be mindful of your surroundings and follow the marked path.
