This hiking route takes you on a 4.784-kilometer circular journey to the Heimkehrerkreuz destination. The trail is rated as moderate in difficulty, with an elevation gain of 426 meters. The estimated duration for the hike is 2 hours and 10 minutes.

Starting your hike, you will pass by several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find the Leckfeldalm, a restaurant and alpine hut where you can stop for a meal or refreshments. Continuing on, you will come across a parking area that is close to the trail for your convenience.

As you make your way through the beautiful landscape, you will encounter a wayside cross known as the Heimkehrerkreuz. This historic site is located approximately 2.2 kilometers into the hike. Additionally, there are benches scattered along the trail where you can take a rest and enjoy the surroundings.

For your convenience, there are information points that provide insights about the area and its history. Drinking water is also available at a designated spot about 0.25 kilometers from the start of the trail.

As you reach the midway point of the hike, you will find another bench where you can take a break and soak in the views. Near the end of the trail, you will find another viewpoint at the Heimkehrerkreuz, offering a panoramic vista of the surroundings.
