This challenging hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning natural scenery. The trail covers a distance of 8.569 kilometers and has an elevation gain of 778 meters, making it a difficult hike that is best suited for experienced hikers.
The hike starts at a parking area located at the trailhead. As you make your way along the trail, you will come across several points of interest. About 1.98 kilometers into the hike, you will reach Astenrast, a historic wayside cross. Continuing on, at around 4.23 kilometers from the start, you will find Tessenberger See, a picturesque lake where you can take a break and enjoy the serene surroundings.
Along the route, there are also several water sources and benches for hikers to rest and refuel. You will also come across Glinzzipf, a natural peak located about 4.07 kilometers from the start, offering panoramic views of the surrounding area.
As you approach the halfway point of the hike, you will encounter an information point and drinking water source, both located around 2 kilometers from the start. These are great spots to take a break and learn more about the area.
Towards the end of the trail, at about 1.07 kilometers from the start, you will find a historic wayside cross and wayside shrine, adding a cultural aspect to the hike.
