This challenging circular hiking route will take you through the stunning alpine landscape near Rifugio Mulatero. The trail spans approximately 4.779 kilometers and features an elevation gain of 596 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding trek.
Starting from the parking area at the trailhead, you will begin your journey towards the first point of interest, Fontana dell'Orso, a natural drinking water source located 1.42 kilometers from the start. As you continue along the trail, you'll come across Sorgente Vigin Riva, a natural spring situated 1.76 kilometers from the beginning.
Midway through the hike, at approximately 2.11 kilometers from the start, you'll find Rifugio Mulatero, an alpine hut where you can take a rest and enjoy the surrounding scenery. Nearby, there is also a drinking water source and a BBQ area for hikers to replenish their supplies and have a meal.
Further along the trail, at 2.05 kilometers from the start, you can make a detour to Croce di Sanfront, a peak offering breathtaking panoramic views. This excursion adds an extra challenge to the hike but rewards you with unforgettable sights.
As you make your way back towards the starting point, you'll pass by Miravidi, another alpine hut located 0.22 kilometers from the beginning, providing another opportunity to rest and take in the majestic mountain views.
