This extremely difficult hiking route will take you on a 13.975-kilometer journey with an elevation gain of 1062 meters, lasting approximately 5 hours and 53 minutes. The trail starts at Bric Arpiol and is an out-and-back route.
Starting off, you will come across Laghetto di Pian del Ciot, a beautiful water feature located 4.46 kilometers from the trailhead. As you continue on, make sure to stop by the drinking water station just 0.02 kilometers into the hike for a quick refill.
Further along the trail, at 1.55 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the Grotta e statua di San Frontone, a cave entrance featuring a statue of San Frontone, adding a cultural touch to your journey. Additionally, midway through the hike at 5.59 kilometers, there is another drinking water station available for hikers.
For nature enthusiasts, Bric la Costa and Bric Arpiol, both peaks, are located at 6.59 and 6.99 kilometers from the start, respectively, offering stunning panoramic views of the surroundings.
As you approach the endpoint, at 0.79 kilometers from the start, you will spot the historic ruins of Case dei Canaves, adding a touch of history to the hike.
