This hiking route is in a beautiful area with stunning views and challenging terrain. The trail is an out-and-back type with a total distance of 12.106 kilometers and an elevation gain of 539 meters, making it extremely difficult. It is advised to be well-prepared with proper hiking gear, plenty of water, and checking the weather forecast before heading out.
As you start your journey, you will come across a restaurant, "Rifugio Pian Munè," just 0.07 kilometers from the trailhead. Further along, at 2.1 kilometers, you will find the "Rifugio Bertorello," an alpine hut offering accommodation for hikers looking to extend their adventure.
Continuing on, at 5.24 kilometers into the hike, you will reach an equipped picnic site called "Area attrezzata (coperta)" and a shelter, providing a perfect spot to rest and enjoy the surroundings. Nearby, at the same distance, is the "Colle di Gilba" saddle, offering panoramic views of the area.
At the 6.05 kilometers mark, you will reach the "Bric la Piata" peak, which is the final destination of the hike. From here, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes.
Along the trail, there are several amenities such as parking areas, drinking water sources, an information point at "Colle di Gilba," a wayside shrine, and informational points to enhance your hiking experience.
