This hike takes you through the beautiful area of Sentiero Carlo Mattio, offering stunning views and challenging terrain. The trail is a circular route with a total distance of 6.718 kilometers and an elevation gain of 679 meters, making it a difficult and rewarding adventure.
As you start your journey, you will come across the charming Rifugio Mulatero alpine hut located 2.11 kilometers from the trail's beginning, where you can take a break and enjoy some rest. Further along the trail, at 2.05 kilometers, you will find the Croce di Sanfront peak, although not directly on the trail, it offers a breathtaking view worth the detour.
For sustenance and refreshments, there are several drinking water points available on the trail, with Fontana dell'Orso located 1.42 kilometers from the start, and another at 2.12 kilometers. Additionally, there is a BBQ spot at 2.17 kilometers if you wish to have a picnic along the way.
As you make your way through the hike, you will encounter Miravidi alpine hut at 0.22 kilometers from the start, offering another opportunity to rest and recharge. There are also viewpoints to admire, with one located at 3.14 kilometers and another at 3.05 kilometers, providing panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
