This hiking route is set in a beautiful alpine area with stunning views and challenging terrain. The trail is an out-and-back type, and the destination of the hike is the peak of Il Frate. The total distance of the route is 14.039 kilometers with an elevation gain of 901 meters, making it extremely difficult.

As you begin your journey, you'll come across the charming alpine hut called Baita dell'Alpino, just 1.04 kilometers from the start. Further along, at 4.49 kilometers, you'll reach Passo Sadole, a saddle with breathtaking views. Nearby, you can refuel at Agritur Malga Sadole, a lovely restaurant.

For those looking to stay overnight, Rifugio Baita Monte Cauriol offers accommodation from June 1 to September 30 and is located 1.04 kilometers from the start. Along the trail, you'll also encounter Stazioni di guerra di Passo Sadole, historic ruins that are 4.58 kilometers into the hike.

There are several facilities and points of interest along the way, such as Bivacco Nada Teatin at 7.02 kilometers, a shelter for hikers. Make sure to stay hydrated with drinking water available 1.1 kilometers from the start.

As you continue on, you'll pass by Formentone, a peak located 6.36 kilometers into the hike. Another notable peak is Il Frate at 7.02 kilometers, which is the final destination of the route.
