This challenging 11.205-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Monte Cauriol in a picturesque area. The trail has an elevation gain of 917.0 meters, making it quite difficult but rewarding for experienced hikers.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by several points of interest along the way. About 1.04 kilometers from the start, you'll come across the rustic Baita dell'Alpino alpine hut where you can take a short break. Further along the trail, at about 1.1 kilometers from the start, you'll find the Agritur Malga Sadole restaurant, a great spot to refuel before continuing on.
As you trek onwards, you'll encounter the Selletta Carteri saddle at around 5.27 kilometers from the start, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. You'll also pass by the Trinceroni del Monte Cauriol ruins at 5.57 kilometers from the start, adding a touch of history to your journey.
Along the route, you'll find helpful facilities such as the Baito del Marino shelter at 2.84 kilometers from the start and the Rifugio Baita Monte Cauriol alpine hut at 1.04 kilometers from the start. There are also information points scattered throughout the trail to enhance your experience.
