Welcome to the Z-Line hiking route in Saalbach-Hinterglemm! This circular route offers a challenging hike with a distance of 13.94 kilometers and an elevation gain of 891 meters, making it extremely difficult but incredibly rewarding.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by the Hl. Thomas-Kapelle shrine at 0.65 kilometers into the hike. As you continue, you will reach the Bigfoot bar at 2.84 kilometers, perfect for a quick refreshment stop. The trail will then take you past the Winkler Alm restaurant at 2.76 kilometers, where you can enjoy a hearty meal surrounded by stunning mountain views.
Midway through the hike at 6.15 kilometers, you will encounter the Zwölfer-Treff pub, a great spot to take a break and refuel. Further along the trail, you'll come across the Zwölferkogel peak at the same distance, offering panoramic views of the surrounding alpine landscape.
As you near the end of the hike, you'll pass by the Breitfußalm restaurant at 3.91 kilometers, followed by the Breitfußalm parking area at 0.0 kilometers. Finally, you'll reach the Xandl Stadl restaurant at the trailhead, where you can relax and celebrate completing this challenging hike.
