Hiking : Pico de Peñalavela

This challenging 10.965 km circular hiking route will lead you to the stunning Pico de Peñalavela in a beautiful natural area. The hike has an elevation gain of 393 meters and is expected to take around 3 hours and 31 minutes to complete.

Starting from the parking area at the trailhead, you will begin your ascent towards the first point of interest, the Collado de Lois saddle, located 1.33 km from the start. As you continue along the trail, you will pass by a spring at the 5.04 km mark, providing a refreshing break before reaching the Collado de Lois saddle at 5.12 km.

The highlight of the hike is the Pico de Peñalavela peak, located 5.43 km from the start. The peak offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes, making the effort worth it.

It is important to note that there is another saddle, the Collado de Peñalavela, located at the same distance as the peak but off the trail, so be cautious not to veer off the path.
