This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route takes you on a 13.102-kilometer journey with an elevation gain of 787 meters in the picturesque area surrounding the Refuge du Campana de Cloutou.

Starting at the parking lot located at the trailhead, you will embark on a challenging trek that will lead you through the wilderness. Along the way, you will pass by various points of interest. Approximately 1.5 kilometers into the hike, you will come across the Cabane de Barrassé, a wilderness hut where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings.

As you continue on, at around the 4.68-kilometer mark, you will encounter the Cabane de Greziolles, another wilderness hut offering a place to rest and refuel before continuing your journey.

Further along the trail, at about 6.55 kilometers, you will reach the Refuge du Campana de Cloutou, an alpine hut where you can spend the night if you choose to extend your adventure.

Throughout the hike, you will also come across several water features such as Laquette de Gréziolles, Réservoir des Laquets, and various other natural water sources providing a refreshing stop along the way.
