This extremely difficult hiking route will take you through a challenging terrain with a total distance of 22.842 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1809.0 meters. The duration of this hike is estimated to be around 9 hours and 48 minutes, so make sure you are well-prepared before embarking on this adventure.

The hike starts at the parking area, where you can leave your vehicle and begin the journey towards the Scharegg peak. Along the way, you will encounter various points of interest that will make your trek more memorable.

As you make your way along the trail, you will pass by a bench and a picnic site, perfect for taking a break and enjoying the surrounding nature. About 1.63 kilometers from the start, you will come across the Triefen spring and the Wasservorhang information point, where you can learn more about the area's natural attractions.

Around the 7 kilometer mark, you will reach the Niedere Torscharte and Hohe Torscharte saddles, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Continuing on, you will encounter peaks such as Brandhorn, Wildalmkirchl, Torkopf, Marterlkopf, and Kleines Brandhorn, each providing a unique vantage point of the surroundings.

At the halfway point, approximately 10.29 kilometers from the start, you will find the Wildalmkirchl-Biwak wilderness hut, where you can rest and recharge before continuing your hike towards the Scharegg peak.

Towards the end of the route, at around 11.42 kilometers from the start, you will reach the impressive Scharegg peak, the final destination of this challenging out-and-back trail. Take in the breathtaking panoramic views before starting your journey back to the starting point.
