The trail starts at a picturesque parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on this adventure. As you begin your journey, you'll come across the Dießbach waterfall at around 1.81 kilometers into the hike, offering a refreshing and scenic stop early on.

Continuing along the trail, at about 5.3 kilometers in, you'll encounter an information point providing insight into the area. Further ahead, at 5.74 kilometers, you'll reach the Dießbachstausee, a beautiful water feature that adds to the natural charm of the surroundings.

Around the midway point of the hike, at 11.41 kilometers, you'll find the Ingolstädter Haus alpine hut, offering a potential resting spot with facilities for hikers. Nearby, at 11.78 kilometers, there is a historic wayside cross adding to the cultural richness of the trail.

As you progress towards the peak, you'll pass by the Abz. Wimbachscharte information point at 9.27 kilometers into the hike, where you can learn more about the area. At 11.78 kilometers, you'll find the Abzweig Schindlköpfe, providing guidance as you approach your destination.

Finally, at 12.82 kilometers, you'll reach the Schindlköpfe peak, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding natural landscape as a rewarding end point to your challenging hike.
