This hiking route will take you through a beautiful area with various points of interest along the way. The trail is an out-and-back type, leading you to the stunning Cascada San Juan as the main destination.
Starting at the designated parking area, you'll begin your journey through a moderate difficulty trail with a total distance of 6.657 kilometers and an elevation gain of 299 meters. It's important to note that the trailhead parking is available at the starting point, so you can conveniently park your vehicle before embarking on the hike.
As you make your way along the trail, you will come across several noteworthy points of interest. Approximately 2.78 kilometers into the hike, you'll encounter Cerro La Cruz - Bajada Cascada, an information point where you can learn more about the area. Further along, at around 1.27 kilometers into the hike, you'll reach Mirador de la U - Bosque de Peumos Sur y Norte, offering a scenic viewpoint amidst the natural surroundings.
One of the highlights of the route is the Cascada San Juan, located approximately 3.33 kilometers from the trailhead. This beautiful waterfall provides a picturesque spot to rest and enjoy the serene ambiance before heading back on the trail.
