This hiking route takes you through the picturesque region around Mallo de Las Foyas, offering stunning views and challenging terrain. The total distance of the route is 9.328 kilometers with an elevation gain of 900 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 4 hours and 24 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, make sure to visit the historic Cabane Bourrègué ruins, located 2.74 kilometers from the trailhead. This will give you a glimpse into the area's past before you continue onwards. Along the way, you will encounter the Aire de Stationnement de Lamary parking area, located right at the start of the trail for your convenience.
Midway through the hike, you will reach the Col de Laraille saddle, a perfect spot to take a break and admire the surrounding natural beauty. Further ahead, at a distance of 4.35 kilometers from the beginning, you will find the off-trail Pic de Laraille peak, offering panoramic views of the region.
As you make your way back, don't miss the Mallo de Las Foyas peak, situated 4.66 kilometers from the start and providing a rewarding endpoint to your journey. Along the route, you'll also come across the Source Bourrègué and Source de Lazerque springs, offering fresh water to refill your supplies.
