Located in a beautiful mountainous region, the hiking route to Punta Bisaurín offers both scenic views and a challenging trek. With a total distance of 10.236 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1118 meters, this route is classified as difficult, suitable for experienced hikers.
You will begin your journey at the trailhead and pass by the parking area before reaching the alpine hut, Refugio de Lizara, which is located 0.1 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to rest and refuel before continuing on. As you make your way towards Punta Bisaurín, you will encounter La Fuenfria spring (0.99 kilometers from the start), followed by Fuente spring (1.98 kilometers from the start) and another Fuente spring (1.85 kilometers from the start).
Midway through the hike, you will reach Colláu de lo Foratón, a scenic saddle sitting at 3.31 kilometers from the start. Take a moment to admire the surrounding landscape before pushing onwards. Further along the trail, you will come across another Fuente spring (2.5 kilometers from the start).
The highlight of the hike is reaching Punta Bisaurín, a majestic peak located 5.12 kilometers from the start. From here, you can enjoy panoramic views of the area before retracing your steps back to the trailhead.
