This challenging out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Pico de Acué in a beautiful natural area. The trail covers a distance of approximately 10.853 kilometers with an elevation gain of 894 meters, so be prepared for a decent workout.
As you start your hike, you'll come across a parking area right at the beginning of the trail. Around the 3.15-kilometer mark, you'll reach the Cabane de la Caillabère shelter where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings. As you continue, you'll pass by several water sources at around the 4.48 and 4.62-kilometer marks, providing you with opportunities to refill your water bottles.
Midway through the hike, you'll find the Col de la Mousquère saddle, offering a picturesque spot to rest and admire the views. Further along the trail, at approximately 5.43 kilometers, you'll have the chance to explore the Punta Gabedallo peak and the Pico de Acué peak, both of which offer breathtaking panoramic views.
