This hiking route will take you to the beautiful area around Punta Guardiol. The trail is 15.869 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 958 meters, making it an extremely difficult hike that will take about 6 hours to complete.
Along the route, you will come across several points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will find Lago di Desertes, a stunning lake located 7.61 kilometers from the start. Further along, at about 6.38 kilometers from the start, you will come across Ricovero Rochette, a shelter where you can take a rest.
As you continue on the trail, you will reach Colletto Pourachet, a saddle point located 3.43 kilometers from the start. At 7.49 kilometers from the start, you will find Colletto del Lago, another saddle point along the route.
For your convenience, there is a parking area located right at the beginning of the trail. However, make sure to bring enough water as the nearest drinking water sources are located off the trail.
As you hike towards Punta Guardiol, you will also come across several peaks such as Punta Guardiol, Croce Faure, and a wayside shrine called San Michele. Additionally, there are benches and information points scattered along the trail for your convenience.
