This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning views and diverse points of interest along the way. The trail is 6.482 kilometers long and has an elevation gain of 211 meters, making it of moderate difficulty.

Starting at the parking area, you will begin your journey towards Poggio Carabinieri. Along the way, you will pass by Sorgente Fonte Tana Basso, where you can refill your water supply. As you continue on, you will come across Lago Perso, a picturesque natural water feature located 0.71 kilometers from the start of the trail.

Further ahead, at a distance of 1.47 kilometers from the start, you will find Capanna Mautino, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy some refreshments. Continuing on, at the 2.42 kilometer mark, you will reach Lago di Fontana Fredda, another beautiful lake worth exploring.

Around the midway point of the trail, at 3.12 kilometers from the start, you will encounter Caserma Carabinieri, a historic ruins site that adds a touch of cultural significance to your hike. Finally, at 3.24 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of Poggio Carabinieri, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
