This hiking route is a circular trail that starts and ends at Pont de la Glière. The area offers stunning natural beauty and is perfect for a moderate level hike.

As you start your journey, you will come across Parking des Fontanettes, where you can park your vehicle before hitting the trail. The trail is approximately 3.76 kilometers long and has an elevation gain of 359 meters, making it a moderate hike that is suitable for most hikers.

As you continue your hike, you will find various points of interest along the way. About 0.06 kilometers from the start, you will pass by a cafe, Les Barmettes, where you can take a break and enjoy a hot beverage. Further along the trail at 1.88 kilometers, there is a water source and an alpine hut called Refuge des Barmettes, providing accommodation for hikers.

Midway through the hike, at 1.86 kilometers, there is a drinking water station to refill your water bottles. Additionally, there are picnic sites and shelters along the trail for a quick rest or snack break.

Towards the end of the hike, at approximately 0.03 kilometers from the finish, you will find another parking area. Finally, as you approach the endpoint, you will pass by a restaurant, Restaurant des Fontanettes, where you can indulge in a delicious meal after completing the hike.
